EQUAL JUSTICE FOR ALL
We all make mistakes. However, there should be no differences in sentencing for the same crimes committed at times of conviction. Race, non-criminal background, income level, and social/political status should not account for a ten year difference in sentencing, in some instances. If a citizen commits robbery, it should be a set sentence for robbery convictions no matter the background. Justice should be equal for all citizens.
QUEST FOR REPARATIONS
We seek a significant amount of compensation for Americans of African descent for the legacy of enslavement, racial subordination and segregation, racial terrorism and racial inequality in the United States past and present. Evidence of the past terrors of lynching and whitewashing appears to still have affects on African-American communities. Even experts in the U.N. point to the continuing link between present injustices and the dark chapters of American history. There's no denying the pain we still see today as a result, therefore these payments should be granted just as other groups have received their reparations,
BEAUTY IN DIVERSITY
We aim to bring together different races, classes, and communities of people through unity and love by congregating people at community diversity festivals, educating youth at schools/ colleges, and holding seminars.
LAW & ORDER
Who's policing the police? We demand the police have an unbiased agency to lead, monitor, and discipline all of the police authorities collectively and with uniformity. We propose new hiring, and training policies including the requirement for the police's "Use of Deadly Force" policy to be overhauled.
